Who we finance through

We work with five Kenyan banks on vehicle asset finance. Which one suits you depends on your profile, the vehicle and the deposit you are putting down, so we send your application to the lenders most likely to approve it rather than to all of them at once.

Absa Bank

Vehicle asset finance

NCBA Bank

Vehicle asset finance

I&M Bank

Vehicle asset finance

Equity Bank

Vehicle asset finance

Co-operative Bank

Vehicle asset finance

Rates differ by bank and by borrower. The calculator above lets you set your own, so if your bank has already quoted you a figure, enter it and the repayment updates to match.

How it works

Four steps to driving away

01

Pick the car

Reserve it with a refundable holding deposit while the finance is arranged.

02

Pre-qualify

We send your documents to the banks we think fit best. Most decisions come back in two to five working days.

03

Offer and valuation

The bank values the vehicle and issues terms. You see the rate, deposit and term before signing anything.

04

Disbursement

Funds clear, the logbook transfer is initiated with the bank’s interest noted, and you collect the car.

What the banks ask for

Deposit and term

The trade-off, plainly

Deposits typically start around 20% and terms usually run 12 to 60 months. A shorter term costs less overall but more each month; a longer term does the opposite.

Move the sliders above against the exact car you want and you will see the difference in shillings rather than in theory.

Questions

Car finance in Kenya

Whichever of the five is most likely to approve you on sensible terms. We work with Absa, NCBA, I&M, Equity and Co-operative Bank, and the right fit depends on your profile, the vehicle and your deposit. You are free to go to your own bank instead if you prefer.

Most lenders in Kenya want at least 20% down on a used vehicle, and some ask 30% on older imports. A larger deposit lowers both the monthly figure and the total interest, which is why the slider starts at 20% rather than zero.

Usually yes, but the bank disburses on arrival rather than at order. You pay the holding deposit yourself, and the facility covers the balance once the vehicle is cleared and registered.

No. It is an indicative model using the rate you select, not an offer. Your actual rate depends on your credit profile, the vehicle age and the bank’s own pricing, and only the bank can issue terms.

Most Kenyan car loans allow early settlement, though some carry a fee. Ask us to confirm the early-settlement terms for the specific bank before you sign and we will get it in writing.
